Ratings and reviews

The Ethos Effect is by far my favorite Modesitt book. This is saying something given how much I have enjoyed his Recluse series. What I found so intriguing about the book is its question of whether a society as a whole could be so corrupt and evil that, for the continued survival of the human race, they needed to be destroyed. It is well written and extremely thought provoking. I would (and have!) highly recommend this book to anyone.

nice story. definitely a lesson on how blind believe nurtures evil.

The plot moves along, character development is excellent. This is a classic.
