About this ebook

From L.E. Wilson comes the first Fated Mates Steamy Shifter Romance in the Southern Dragons Series with a cinnamon roll alpha hero.

Devon is everything I wants, and the one thing I can't have.

But that isn't enough to keep me away.

Kohl knows there's no place for a woman around a creature like him—half dragon, half vampire, and the only one of his kind. Adopted as a child by a coven of vampires, he fights a constant battle to keep his fiery side at bay. Until the night he sees Devon dancing alone in the shadows, and the beast inside of him awakens with a burning hunger he can't ignore. Her tawny skin begs for his touch, and her sweet scent ignites a blood lust he can't control…

The last place Devon ever thought she would find herself is on the witness stand of a notorious court case concerning her employer, Parasupe. Her testimony lands her boss in jail, and Devon has to relocate and start a new life. Determined to put it behind her, she treats herself to an evening out, where she meets a tattooed bartender whose tough appearance can't hide the sweet warmth of his brown eyes…

But it's not safe for her in his world. Not for her. Not for him. Not for the rest of his coven. And Kohl is forced to make a choice between the woman his beast won't live without and family who allows him to exist.

The only vampire/dragon hybrid. Devon is a smart woman but she has strong moral beliefs. That’s how she ends up whistleblowing and on the run from her former company. She wanders into a bar one night and Kohl recognizes her from when she testified. He’s always had a soft spot for her and when there’s danger he protects her. But all is not well in his home and the Master Vampire sees her as a threat. The danger to Devon is real and both parts of Kohl want/need to protect her. Kohl doesn’t feel like he’s good enough for her but the attraction is very real and when vampires attack her, he goes above and beyond to save her. Great characters and a very different vampire story. Loved Kohl and was happy to see him grow and thrive. Devon also came into her own. She was scared but trusted Kohl. Adventures, a changing of the guard and a hybrid who comes into his own helped by his human mate. I also loved the hint at the end and am looking forward to more in this series.

About the author

L.E. Wilson writes romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to love them just as they are. In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, some humor, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.

Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did she know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change her life.

Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees. On the weekends she likes to have date nights with her favorite guy.
