Told from dual first person perspectives (Carter and Emma) CRAVING THE FIGHT follows the rekindling romance and relationship between UFC champion Carter Reynolds, and model Emma Jameson. Emma Jameson’s family has a dark past, and the past is about to come full circle when Emma receives a special delivery threatening her family and the people she loves. Leaving New York to return to her hometown in California, Emma reaches out to her brothers and sisters while struggling to stay away from Carter Reynolds, the man she once loved. In an effort to protect her parents, Emma is about to enter the proverbial lion’s den, a lion that is taking aim at our story line hero. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Carter and Emma, and the potential fall-out as the past demands revenge, using the next generation in his quest for power. 3.5 stars Craving the Fight by L.P. Dover is a nuclear hot romantic suspense set in the glamorous and dangerous world of MMA fighting. Carter and Emma are explosive together. Carter Reynolds is unbeaten in world championships for many years like his legendary father. His friend and ex lover Emma is the one who got away. She is now a successful model living in New York. When she received a mysterious threatening letter related to their parents' dark secrets, she run to her friends and family. Carter will protect her at any cost and never let her go. So this is a second generation book. The younger generation of a group of legendary MMA fighters are carrying their legacy. MMA world has a dark dangerous illegal side too and their fathers/mothers were forced to join till the leader was caught and sent to jail. Now the past is seeking vengeance. I spent a lot of time with the action and suspense and not enough with romance. The sexy parts are here but I expected an epic second chance.

I missed the Gloves Off series when I first discovered LP Dover years ago but picking up this next gen series didn’t have me feeling lost at all. I will say I probably would have had more of an appreciation for everything these characters went through. There was a ton of suspense and the sparks between Carter and Emma were off the charts. Some parts were seriously over the top but this book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
