A tragic start to Everleigh's story. Her heart was broken years before, and in the present, she lost a beloved family member. She was determined to attain her dream despite her heart. I loved how she worked through her guilt, accepted what had happened, and realized when she actually belonged. Jensen's heart never gave up, and I enjoyed his tenacity in getting Everleigh's attention, forgiveness, and her heart back. The secondary characters were a fun addition, and I look forward to the next.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 1 in a new series and I absolutely adored it. It has a BIG mystery and the mystery was so romantic and awesome that its one of my top reads in 2023 and one I know I will be re-reading. If you are looking for a very sexy and HOT read then you will not find that here. But if you are looking for a fun and romantic read then you will adore this story. This book is about love, family.
