Her Perfect Lies is a great read that will have you gripped from start to finish. It is an intriguing story that is full of mystery and suspense and perfect for fans of the psychological suspense genre. From the opening chapter I was hooked and was up reading this well into the night. It is definitely a page turner with plenty of shocks along the way! Lana has created a chilling plot that would be one of my worst nightmares! Losing your memory and not knowing things about your life like personal and family relationships, friendships, childhood memories, work life etc, I can’t even..but what makes this story different is that main protagonist Claire may find that she is better off not remembering the events that lead to the car accident or her past….You’re intrigued now aren’t you? There are only a few characters that join Claire in this story with the main ones being her husband and father that we read the most of. They have, as well as the supporting characters been written well and are believable in the roles that they play. They keep you on your toes, each hiding something whether it be to protect Claire or stop her from finding out secrets best kept hidden..I enjoyed how I was kept second guessing myself with them all. What I really enjoyed most about this book is how Lana made me feel tense throughout the story in anticipation of what was to come. It had an ominous presence in each chapter that also at times had me feeling uncomfortable which is how I like a psychological suspense to make me feel. You just know a big reveal is on the horizon and in this case, it’s a ripper! Lana’s writing is very fluid, engaging and flows really well. it is not repetitive and although descriptive, it is not overly done. There is no beating around the bush and I liked how Lana just gets on with it, which made this fast paced and a quick read. This is the first book I have read from Lana and she will definitely now be on my radar for her future releases. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to read a review Her Perfect Lies which I recommend. Thank-you to NetGalley, HQ Digital and Lana Newton for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Her Perfect Lies which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

When Kate wakes up in the hospital, she has no idea who she is .... she doesn't recognize her husband, her friends, her mother and father she only knows from pictures. Her father is also in the hospital recuperating. She looks in the mirror and sees a stranger. Her husband is distant, although courteous. When her best friend tells her there were 'issues' between Kate and her husband. When she discovers divorce papers , she's sure that their issues were big ones. Then the nightmares begin ... are they only nightmares, or is her memory beginning to come back? Who is the man chasing her and why is he so fearful? In some respects , Kate feels like she's losing her sanity. Kate must untangle the threads of her life ..... she needs to know who she was .... she needs to solve the mystery of the car accident. The more she uncovers, the more questions she has and she finds that there are deep dark secrets she must root out. This is a well written psychological drama full of twists and turns and secrets and lies. Not everyone is who or what they show on the outside. The characters are finely drawn and lend credibility to the story. Many thanks to the author / HQ Digital / Netgalley for the digital copy of HER PERFECT LIES. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
