About this ebook

Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, but I never made it to the church.
Instead of walking down the aisle to marry the perfect guy, I've been kidnapped by a man from my past.

I haven't seen Hendrix Blake in three years, and we didn't end things on the best terms.

Still, I haven't forgotten a single thing about him, especially not his dark eyes or the way they always seem to pierce straight to my soul.

Now I'm locked inside a limousine with the criminal who broke my heart, speeding down the highway and headed to who the hell knows where.

With no money, no phone, and no clothes, hundreds of miles away from home, I find myself at Hendrix's mercy, which is exactly where he wants me.

Thrill Ride is a standalone romance with a HEA.

This stand alone was absolutely a Thrill Ride I couldn't put down once I started. Lane Hart always seems to find a way to take a story, wrap it in her magic, give it a plot that will keep you intrigued and then once you think you've figured things out, there's a twist and you're as blown away as the characters. Speaking of which, the characters are perfectly flawed. Even the "bad guy" is so personable it's hard not to fall in love with his personality. Of course, Libby falls for a little more than that with Hendrix. This was a great book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is a standalone book from Lane about a young woman named Libby and a bank robber named Hendrix. They meet at the local bar where Libby started working as a waitress and Hendrix is a regular with his two friends. Hendrix and his friends work at Hendrix's heating company as a cover while they plan another bank robbery. Hendrix and his friends have been robbing banks for the last 10 years and this one is supposed to be their last, and they plan to retire and leave the country. Hendrix sees Libby and makes it known he wants her. Libby turns Hendrix down and he is even more determined to be with her. The more Libby tells him no, the more he wants her and he starts to care more for her than he would for any other woman. Hendrix is protective of Libby and they grow closer when he defends her. The book starts with Libby getting ready to be married to another man, but when she gets into the limo, she is kidnapped. The story then tells how Libby and Hendrix met and their story. I really loved this story. I really liked Hendrix, even if he was a bad boy and a bank robber. i think he was brought up to believe he had to follow in his father's footsteps and he didn't realize anything else. Libby really loved Hendrix, even if she didn't want to. I think she understood him and he made her feel safe and protected. Another good one from Lane. Well done.

With a set of rules to live by, Hendrix has never wavered from them. But when the saucy waitress refuses to do a one and done with him, he finds himself completely ignoring them in favor of winning her over. Libby has a job to do but falling for the bad guy wasn’t a part of it. Lure him, entice him, and learn his secrets were what she was supposed to do but soon she’s in too deep and her life is changed forever due to her decisions. This has an exciting beginning that takes place in the present before taking the reader back three years ago to when Libby and Hendrix first meet. I loved the chase that Libby took him on and the fact that he never thought twice about following. There was definitely a time or two that proved Hendrix was far from a nice guy but it also proved he would do anything for her. When her secret comes to the surface, I was shocked at the things he did in reaction. Some of it really bothered me but at least part of it was later explained even though that action did not have the un-affect he thought it would. Returning to the present I expected him to still be carrying the need for revenge he had on that fateful night three years ago. Instead the roles were reversed and he was begging for forgiveness. I felt like they both had explanations as well as groveling to do. This has a very strong beginning but did lose a bit of its shine when we are bounced back to the present. Nevertheless, this author set us up for a wild ride with some twists that I never saw coming. It’s got a fast pace that kept me engaged. The chemistry between Hendrix and Libby was hot and completely believable. Overall, I enjoyed it and would like to see more from Hendrix’s buddies Van and Sawyer. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
