Long book, with some slow spots, but as with all McMurtry, a great story. I was pleased to see the growth in the characters, and for Patsy to find peace in her life. Picked this book up and down 3 times, very glad I picked it up this last time.

Larry McMurtry is the author of twenty-nine novels, including the Pulitzer Prize–winning Lonesome Dove, three memoirs, two collections of essays, and more than thirty screenplays. He lives in Archer City, Texas.
