Lassiter Hill chronicles the lives of two brothers competing with one another for everything, including the love of the same woman. Their private conflicts become public following a horrific murder that tears apart their small farming community. The bodies of two small children and their parents are discovered murdered in their beds, the day after Halloween. Evidence of a satanic cult is discovered at the murder scene, prompting the town residents to suspect immigrant workers at a nearby packing plant.
