Jake’s new ghostly friend, Sir Reginald, disappeared a year before I arrived. Now that I’m here, the deceased cricket player wants me to figure out who murdered him. And figure out why. Everyone agrees he’s the most cricket of all cricket players. Who’d want to do in a chap like him?

First I find out I’m a witch, now I have to be a supernatural detective? I’d worry about that, but my new bestie seems to be a top secret agent for the fae queen. Yeah, I told you this is a weird little village.

And, since I’m a new witch, I’ve inherited not only a wand, but also a snarky talking cat named Punkin who is addicted to coffee beans. Seems that he had an incident with too many beans, the fae queen’s ball gown, and now I’m stuck with him. 

 And our attempt to solve the mystery of Sir Reginald’s death, is making the killer very nervous.

My new friends and I find ourselves in hot water right away. Just locating the car wreck that killed Sir Reginald reveals an escaped infernal that wants to eat my new cat, then eat the rest of us. 

Can we serve up justice before a brewing disaster boils over?

WANT A LIL BIT EXTRA??? Here it is. This series is absolutely amazing. Alyn Troy did a fabulous job. Not only did he write a beautiful paranormal mystery book but a series that I hope continues to grow. He even took what we all usually read in a paranormal mysteries book and added some out of the box paranormal ideas in this series starting with this book. He just took paranormal to an entire new level. I love reading what we always read in these paranormal mysteries but I have to say it was refreshing to actually get a little more. I love his idea of the cars the supernaturals drive. Obviously I don't wanna give anything away but I highly recommend you give this book a read. It is incredible was beyond awesome and I don't believe you'll be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍👍😘😘😘 Great, Awesome, Wonderful Job Alyn

"Lattes & Spirits" was so much fun, the action was nonstop and the banter was witty. I can't wait to read te rest of this series now.

A fair bit of reading. some more setup of the crime would have been nice. overall 7/10

About the author

Alyn Troy is American from the Midwest (Indiana) who writes The Mystic Brews and Pixie Twist series of Cozy Mysteries. In addition to Indiana, he's lived in Southern California, where the Pixie Twist series is set, and has served as a history docent on notable pier in SoCal. In his past lives, he's been a journalist, a wedding photographer, and an adjunct professor.

Alyn gets daily assistance from his fuzzy familiar (AKA "Lord Fuzzbutt"). When not helping his human with the writing of paranormal cozy mysteries, Lord Fuzzbutt likes to sit out outside and watch the hummingbirds dart about like pixies. He often yowls at the door, waiting to head to the patio for chipmunk duty. Fortunately, the little rodents are craftier than Fuzzbutt is.

Alyn's beverage of choice is dark roast coffee with a dash of honey, and a splash of half-n-half. In addition to being half-way competent with his home espresso machine, Alyn makes a mean Mai Tai.
