Hop On Reading Series provides reading material for dyslexic, early and ESL readers with diversity and successfully-proven learning methods. The readers, written by Laura Barr Sargent, are stories that support the Orton-Gillingham approach to dyslexia. Each series teaches one of the seven syllable type and consist of 5 fully-illustrated readers including an interactive practice journal. The journal has inquiry and sensory stimulating exercises to support each phonemic theme and spelling rule. A family of characters created by Patti O’Hare Williams engage the reader through the pages by providing humor, engagement and encouragement.

About the author

Laura Barr Sargent, has a MEd from Harvard University, Certified in Dyslexia/Orton-Gillingham and RAVE-O. She has been working with dyslexic?children and adults?around the world for many years.Laura developed Hop On Reading Series as culturally diverse reading material for her international students. Laura and her husband raised their two boys aboard their yacht "Malolo" where she homeschooled her children?grades K-12.? Her life experiences and education?have developed a broad minded?creative approach and sensitivity to teaching with?an ability to relate?to her students of all ages,?backgrounds and cultures.
