I thoroughly liked reading this story from Laura as she tells a magical story of love & tribulations. This is a totally sweet romance with a few mer which love the water, a couple of special people who can use their electricity powers to make things work & the captain of the boat to name a few, which are on this trip trying to get to a better place to live. Their destination is a home called "Dover" that these people don't know if it still exists since the apocalypse happened. More on GR's......

Disaster Bi/Useless Lesbian Energy In The Best Way Gleeful Goblin Review: I don't know why this detail struck me but I was absolutely delighted by Ines' frog familiar Benoit. I'm a total sucker for an animal but and the name Benoit slayed me and for some reason the fact that he's a red eyed tree frog, one of the more goofus looking foggy bois imo, made it even better. I also loved the fact that both FMCs have big time Disaster Bi/Useless Lesbian Energy and as a member of the Disaster Bi crew..... relatable. "It looked like Ines sensed my discomfort because she changed the subject. "You can control the water too, right? How does that work?" "Hmm, sort of. I can sense the waves and the motion of the ocean inside me and then if I concentrate my magic on a specific spot, I can influence it. It works better when I'm in the water though." "Wow, I wish I was a mer. Those are really cool powers." Ines picked up the frog on her shoulder and gave it a little kiss. "But then I wouldn't have you,

The circumstances under which Ines & Susie formed a friendship were trying at best. My heart broke for the loneliness and desolation Susie experienced, as well as the lack of self worth. Ines had been through it, and understood her position, making her sympathetic and able to help in many ways. As their journey progressed, these two found themselves drawn to eachother. Would their friendship persist after reaching landfall (assuming they made it)? There were so many unknowns, would Susie even desire to go on to Purple Oasis? Would Any of them be welcome there anyway? Only time would tell. This was a wonderful story of perseverance, teamwork, friendship, hope, found family, and love. I am thrilled to have received an ARC and happily provide this review . I encourage you to read this book, and the rest of the P.O. Series, they are all wonderful. Happy Reading Y'all đź“š
