I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was more gritty than expected but felt right when I read the series. Narcissa was used cruelly by her cousin before being rescued and gets a very caring mate in Darius. Together they take on establishing a new necromancer's council and dealing with rogue necromancers. The handle it all in their stride. The background story of Blood & Deceit was a nice addition.

the Necromancer Council was apparently filled with folks determined to do what they wanted at the costs of others As they work to rebuild the guidance and governance system, we meet key players in the support system of a necromancer trying to find her own way while she guides and helps others- much drama and action along the way. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a good value box set of this series, handy to read all the books together in one place. The books are quite easy to read books with an enjoyable, different storyline. They have imaginative, likable characters and a different world you can loose yourself in.
