This is the second book in the Sinful Nights series. I LOVED this book! This story was about Ryan Sloan, Shannon Sloan's sister. After the craziness of his past family life, Ryan craves control in his life. Imagine his surprise when he sees this gorgeous blond outside of the police department, on his way to meet the detective working on his father's murder case. Ryan is completely captivated and just has to meet his fantasy girl. Sophie Winston was the geeky quiet girl who became a huge success and then she sold off her business. Now Sophie spends her time being a philanthropist but she craves letting go of her control. These two each possessed something the other desperately wanted. The sexual chemistry between these two was off the charts! I loved how Ryan brought out such emotions from Sophie and how she brought out a softer side of Ryan. I really enjoyed the continuation of the mystery behind Ryan's dad's murder. It was great having the detective the case turn out to be Sophie's brother! I just adored this story and these two characters. Their happy ever after was perfect for the two of them! I loved Sophie's addiction to the fruity dresses! Too cute! Overall, another great story and I can't wait to see how this mystery is going to end!

I love Lauren Blakely's books and when I first read Sweet Sinful Nights, I fell in love with the characters. But there was just something about Ryan that endeared him to me and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on his story. So, understandably, I was out of this world happy when I found out that Sinful Desires is going to be about him and the woman of his heart :) Of course, I read the prequel, Sweet Desire, and I was even more intrigued. And I wasn't disappointed. The story is fast paced, filled with pantie melting hotness, desire, tenderness and romance and peppered with secrets, suspense and danger. :) Ryan Sloan is a deliciously sexy and dominant alpha who lived through a tragedy as a teenager. A tragedy that shook the foundation of his young life and he and his sibling were pulled into a whirlwind that still puts their lives on unstable ground and leaves him with trust issues a mile long. The walls around his heart are close to impossible to break and he doesn't give the chance to the women in his life to even try - they don't even get past the third date. Well, that all changes the moment he sees Sophie Winston. She is like a ray of sunshine for his dark and untrusting soul. In the span of weeks he finds himself opening to her and falling unconditionally in love. Even sharing secrets he hasn't even told his siblings. Sophie is simply gorgeous. Not only on the outside, but also on the inside. She is smart, loving and compassionate. She dedicates her life to helping others and I have to say that I loved her character. But in her personal life she's been unsuccessful to find the one thing she craves - a dominant man wh ocan play her body with ease and bring her unimaginable pleasure. But at the same time to be tender and loving and gift her with the relationship she's always dreamed of, the kind of forever love her parents had. She finds all that in Ryan. But with his troubled past and the secrets he keeps, their relationship is quite rocky from the start. But in the bedroom, or in her car, on the table, or pretty much every surface they can think of, their bodies are in sync and create the most beautiful music each one of them has ever experienced. While they navigate through the difficulties thrown their way, they build a solid foundation for their relationship that can withstand everything :) So be prepared, this story is of the charts hot. Which of course is not a surprise considering how incredibly drool worthy Ryan is. He is like your dream BBF with his dirty mouth, dominant streak and incredible prowess in bed. So yep, be ready for some temperature increasing reading with a sprinkle of romance and topped with some suspense (there are just too many secrets to make this book a simple hot romantic story ;) ) And to add to that, you will also glad a glimpse of the other Sloan siblings. I am definitely intrigued by Collin and I can't wait to read his and Elle's story in the next book in the series :) So get your #oneclick finger working and start reading :) You won't regret it ;) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. Ryan and Sophie are FIRE! Wow, what an intense romance! From the instant they met, the sparks ignited and just loved watching them come together. Ryan is dealing with a lot of new revelations regarding the decades-old murder of his father, and his romance with Sophie comes at the right time to give him a source of comfort and control. And hoo boy, does this alpha love control! He just happens to be exquisitely dominant in every way that Sophie has ever dreamed of, and I loved every deliciously dirty bit of it. I also enjoyed the unusual approach of having different chapters from the POV of other characters besides Ryan and Sophie (who have the bulk of the chapters, of course). This format added such depth and poignancy to the entire investigation story, and I loved the inclusion of the other Sloan siblings as this part is their story, too. This was a beautiful love story with a side of intense and nerve-wracking investigation. There are some heartbreaking moments, too, ending with a dazzling HEA for our couple and a jaw-dropping twist for the entire Sloan family. I'm halfway through this series and I'm already convinced its one of the best I've ever read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
