It’s official: grumpy detective Vincent Moretti is my new favorite Moretti, and let me tell you this has come as a shock to me. What a ride! This book has it all: romantic moments, tension, mystery, edge of your seat moments, steamy scenes (yeah, maybe a little too much for my liking, but anyway) and romantic moments I never thought I’d witness grumpy Vincent Moretti create. He’s a grouch with a soft side well hidden underneath his armor, but his attempts at romanticism made me smile and warmed my heart. He was adorable when he went out of his comfort zone to make Jill happy. I wasn't particularly happy about the way they started out their relationship, and I would've enjoyed the story even without the descriptive sex scenes (you'll find out the reason for the title at one specific point in their relationship), but that's just my prudish self talking. I liked meeting the rest of the Moretti again (especially Nonna), and seeing how they all came together to help Vin with his heartbreak. I was also happy to meet Marco, the only brother who’s not in New York, and who didn’t appear in the previous books, and I’m looking forward to reading his story, too. I would've liked a little bit more of the two of them together, once the Morettis found out, maybe get an epilogue. When I reached the end I was a little disappointed to realize I wasn't going to get a few more chapters. If you’re a fan of Lauren Layne, it goes without saying you’ll love this book, too. If you’ve yet to discover her books, this might be a good one to start, as the author’s trademark witty, fast-paced style with lots of funny banter and steamy scenes can be found in this book, too. ***I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review***

From the jump I’m just going to say that I totally fangirled all over this book! After reading a bunch of reviews for Frisk Me and Steal Me, I decided to purchase them and promptly got lost in the world of sexy, alpha-cops. And then I kept getting little peeks at Vincent and became quite intrigued with the silent man. And then I saw it on Netgalley and snatched it up before I decided I wanted on this tour. (Side note-the guy on the cover is a TOTAL hottie, but does not fit his description at all.) To say that Vincent is quiet and surly is an understatement. But this man caught my eye and I have a thing for the strong, silent type. And cops (have my own man in uniform at home). Vin was this really great guy and was head-over-butt in love with Jill, but he’s completely oblivious to what everyone else can see. I was already a little in love with him before this book, but then he has to go and be so awkwardly adorable and drop your panties sexy alpha at the same time. Vincent was so sweet on Jill that I was quite endearing. I liked Jill in the previous books and knew she was going to give Vin a run for his money. She was down to earth and seemed like someone I’d want in my circle of friends. I did have one bone to pick, and that was I wish she called off her engagement sooner. I wanted Vincent to get his HEA! That being my only road bump in the book, Jill was refreshing and spoke to me. I felt like I could see myself in her. I couldn’t have thought of a better heroine for Vin to end up with. I feel like my review really doesn’t do this gem any justice. If life didn’t get in the way, I could have read this in one sitting. This book had me simultaneously yearning and dreading the ending-I didn’t want it to end!

So we are back with my new favorite cop family; The Moretti's! And I'm super excited to jump back in all the craziness! Especially with Nonna. Detective Vincent Moretti is the surliest member of the Moretti family. When most of his communications tend to be through scowls and grunting it is honestly amazing that anyone out side of the family can put up with him. But his partner of 6 years Jill Henley, is the one person that was always by his side…mainly because she is the only one that can put up with him. But Vin is not as gruff as he comes across, he is shy and doesn't know how to express his feelings, but after missing Jill for the past 3 months, while she has been in Florida taking care of her mother, Vin has finally decided to take a step towards expressing his tightly kept feeling by asking Jill on a date. But when Jill comes home engaged to another man, Vin feels confused by his own hurt emotions. Despite what is going on in their personal lives, Vin and Jill have a murder to solve, but will Vin be able to get through the case and Jill's engagement and not reveal how he feels? I am going to start by saying …I really loved this book! I love the family, the characters! The plot! Simply everything about this book is delicious. I loved Vin's character so much! His shyness makes him just so endearing to me. I struggled a little with Jill's character a couple of moments in the book, but I did love the way the author made the characters realize their flaws; without that I honestly don't this that this book or this series should be as amazing as it is! I only have one retreat with this whole series, that I didn't discover this series till book 2! But I'm thrilled I found it and I honestly can't wait for the next book in the series. So let's get the the basics of this book, the writing, plot and characters are fantastic and as far as I can see it is without plot holes and smooth to read. I give Cuff Me 5 stars!
