Litha and the others are back at the academy trying to gather people to fight the fae king. She is worried about Finn and Rune being out there while the fae soldiers are so close. Rune and Finn make it back to the academy a little worse for wear. Rune suprises Litha with what he brought back. Litha and gang decide to see what the soldiers are doing, they figure out that the fight is happening now. They all feel unprepared to do this. They will not back down. They realize what they are doing and decide to head them off. This this the war that they are prepared to win or die trying. There a lot a great moments in this book, the book moves at a fast pace. Read what happens when Litha , Phoenix and her men confront the Fae King and the resulting actions. This was an unique and entertaining story. I look forward to more from this author

Rune and Finn head for the Fae kingdom to do what they can about the elixir that prevents dragons from shifting. They barely make it back to the academy! Litha, Phoenix, Bane, Kit and their guests have to flee the cottage and race to the academy. The Fae army is only days away and the Fae king must not reach the forest on the campus grounds to use the ancient magical source against them. Litha and the others feel very unprepared for this battle. They cannot avoid it. This is one they will have to either win or face certain death, even though it seems that the chance for success is slim. Will they survive? Wow, this is an action-packed story all the way through. Seeing the growth of the characters while they try to handle a monumental task like this was inspiring. The emotions the author brought forward kept the reader close, tensely following their every move. Could they succeed at this monumental battle? What did they have that the Fae king didn’t? That could make all the difference!
