About this ebook

When a marriage of convenience is the only play left…

Special Agent Emmitt Marshall knows how to:

Wear a cowboy hat.

Hack anything.

Win at chess.

Fall in love with emotionally unavailable men.

He even knows the perfect play to catch the terrorists who killed his mentor.

Special Agent Levi Bishop doesn’t know how to:

Move on after his wife’s death.

Help his grieving son.

Pay off his mountain of debt.

Fix the mess some cowboy cyber agent made of his case.

The same cowboy who proposes a marriage of convenience to stop a common enemy.

Marsh is either the answer to Levi’s prayers—or a handsome nightmare in a Stetson.

Levi doesn’t know.

But both men do know their cases and lives are at a dead draw.

There’s only one play left…

I do.

Layla Reyne returns with an all-new m/m romantic suspense series featuring a cocky hacker with a heart of gold, a widowed father who needs so much help, and a plan only a cowboy could cook up. Grab your hat, hold tight to the reins, and enjoy the ride!

FBI Special Agent Levi Bishop has it rough. His wife died 2 years ago, and he is now raising his teenage son, David, alone. He is struggling to cope and is saddled with debts he can't keep up with. His latest case got messed up, all thanks to one FBI Special Agent Emmitt Marshall. To help solve the case he messed up and also one of his own, he puts forward an offer. Marsh wants them to get married; it will help solve their cases and also Levi's money troubles. Marsh is such an amazing character, I just fell so much in love with him. He has the problem of falling for emotionally unavailable men. When I saw his true feeling for Levi develop, my heart hurt for him. The romance is a very slow burn, and I didn't mind it this time. It would have felt weird to speed it along, especially as Levi was still grieving from his wife's death. They did so badly want each other from the start, but they don't act on it. You can cut the amount of sexual tension with a knife!

A cowboy and a single dad in a romantic suspense storyline. Yep, I'm in. Except it took me a little while to get there. Not with Marsh and Levi. I loved the proposal for the marriage of convenience, and if that one scene doesn't make you love Marsh, I'm not sure what will. Of course, I'm kind of partial to sarcasm and wit, so that scene really works for me. The snarky teenager was easy to love as well, and my heart broke for him and Levi.

I may never look at Stetsons the same Holy hotness This was a new author for me so the cast was also unknown and there were times I wish I had read or knew more about the supporting characters - only because they were so much a part of the MC life and guess what? Many of them have previous stories out - So I will be exploring that It didn't make the story any less enjoyable just had me adding to my TBR pile 😊 Enough rambling... Levi was drowning in life's demands Recently widowed with a teena
