This is a poor portrayal of a Dom/Sub relationship. Im a huge fan of this author(s). But this isnt up to the usual standard I've grown to appreciate from the author(s). It portrays the "Dom" as hurtful and the "Sub" as weak. I don't offend easily, I don't have triggers, & I read ALOT of dark romances, dub-con, D&S, etc... But the trope of a strong woman giving up/into abuse because she's chasing JUST pleasure is exhausting. There's no redeemable qualities to the MMC, who refuses to acknowledge "No". And even tho he's supposed to be able to sense her emotions, he continues to ignore them to sate his desire to cause harm. And the MFC, though inner-monologing her angry over it, just goes along with it. If that's your shtick, no judgment; you'll probably like this book. But if you prefer a strong Dom who respectfully "trains" his Sub... skip this one. You'll just be frustrated; and not in a good way.
