Before writing his famous novels War and Peace and Anna Karenina, Tolstoy opened an experimental school on his estate to try and answer them. His experiences there incited his life-long inquiry into the meaning and purpose of religion, literature, art and life itself.

Daniel Moulin is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Culture and Society in the University of Navarra, Spain. He was a Scholar-in-Residence at the Kilns C.S. Lewis Study Centre, Oxford, UK, 2010-2011, and Chapel Director at Somerville College, Oxford, UK, 2011-2013.
