Really bad writing. I kept reading because the story line was interesting but the book ended in a cliffhanger and now I feel like I wasted my time.

This book is a series starter. The characters are believable and I was immediately hooked by the story. Claire and FBI agent Fletcher meet when he investigates her brother's murder. Their attraction is instant but Fletcher is reluctant to start a relationship to avoid distraction while he works the case but mainly as he was hurt in the past. What happened? Will Claire manage to break down Fletcher's barriers? Who murdered Claire's brother? I need to know. The story unfolds beautifully and ends on a nail-biting cliffhanger but I am on for the whole ride. I received a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

What an amazing start to a new series by Lexi Timms. Loved the interaction between Claire and Fletcher. I can’t wait for the next book in line for this series. I highly recommend Devil’s Bay for anyone looking for a great thriller romance. You will not regret getting any book by this author!
