Incredible angst, looming body image issues, a family unlike any other, then a turn for the better: a great start to professional growth, some hope of discovering a wonderful man...then SCREECH--I got whiplash the ending was so abrupt! It is like the author got bored leading us through the protagonist's personal growth and skipped to the end in a corny and sexual way. Too bad. The horrid ending makes this one of the worst books I've read in a long time.

It was a good book over all.. However the protagonist couldn't.. Or wouldn't stand up for herself which pissed me off..but the fact that it can cause that type of emotion in the audience makes it a good book. The erotica part though lacked detail.. The book was so well structured up until that part and somewhat ruined the effect for me. .

Jamie has a hard time with her family, who don't appreciate a woman with curves and a brain. Alex is looking for a personal assistant, and hires Jamie when she applies for the job. Tension from her family make things tough for her.
