About this ebook

There comes a time when setting your differences aside isn’t just necessary, it’s a means of survival. After losing over half of their dens to a group rogue shifters, the wolves and leopards merged as one Pack, but living together is much more of a challenge then they expected.

Danica Welsh was born to be the leopard pack healer. An accident involving a drug induced youth left her badly burned and scared—emotionally and physically. Without the ability to heal by touch, she secludes herself to the edge of town, away from Ashwood Falls’ overly concerned citizens. All hope of mating and family become a distance dream. When she finally starts to accepts the long, lonely existence ahead of her, a stranger crashes into her life, and her heart.

After Nevan Mathews’ fiancée died three ago, he submerged himself into his work, cutting off all reminders of a life he dreamed of with the woman he loved. He lets his step-mother talk him into taking the first vacation in five years to visit for the holidays. But an accident delays his travel plans, sending him to Danica’s doorstep and raises a need he thought he would never feel again.

Can they tear down the walls around their hearts and submit to the passion before another claims Dani for his own?

An enjoyable start to the Shifters of Ashwood Falls series. For a quick story it was a very emotional and sweet read. After an accident leave’s Danica physically and emotionally scarred, she lives a life of loneliness. Until Nevan Mathews crashes into her life. What happens next is a quick action pack paranormal romance that doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed how hard Nevan proves to everyone that he can be the mate for Danica and their HEA. Can’t wait more of this series.

Danica is a healer but had no feeling in her right side after an explosion so she lived alone and away from everyone. Nevan was a psychologist and an empath raised with mountain lions because his father had married again, step- mother and brothers also lost his fiancé. Going the his stepmom’s place got in an accident trying not to hit leopard (Danica), she went back and had him follow her to her house because the accident was her fault. They had feelings for each other right away but she was kin

After finally coming to realise that she will never have a normal life or a family, Danica is somewhat happy in her remote home. Then Nevan stumbles into her life. He too has suffered and believes he can never have that HEA others experience. But when he meets Danica he can feel the call to her. This story shows us how these to overcome all their barriers to find their own happily ever after. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
