The redoubtable Vessie Lou Culpepper and feisty Justine Longacre also pitch in to help find the killer. Along the way, Mayor Charlie works hard to take care of business for the zany eccentric citizens of Brangus.

This is the seventh work of fiction by Texas author, Carol Walt. A career social worker, Carol retired to a ranch in West Texas. She views the Texas scene with a sharp eye to the special lifestyle of rural communities. Her husband, E.R. Walt, is a rancher and writer.
