Another great rom-com from this talented author. I'm always amazed at how Lila Monroe manages to produce something new and fresh each time. April and Seth are both eminently likeable characters, a little 'caricatured' but that's part of what I love about the books. So many rom-coms rely on improbable events and unrealistic plot devices for humour. That can't be said of The Romeo Effect. It won't have you busting a rib laughing, instead it has a warm, gentle humour that is mixed with great characters and a charmingly wonderful story. Which makes it a superior read in my book. April and Seth really do have great chemistry and their story held my attention from start to finish. I enjoyed that we got both POV's, allowing me to really connect with them. There are some incredibly thought provoking and moral questioning moments to add balance to the humour. I loved where the author took this pair and how she avoided the obvious "spanner-in-the-works" situation, which would have been cliched, instead using a different method to ruffle the course of true love. I never once felt bored whilst reading this. Even when I had to put it down the story and characters were still in my mind (and heart) and I got back to the book as soon as I could. It's a great rom-com that I happily recommend and best of all, even though it features previous main characters, can easily be read as a stand alone story.

4.5 Stars for The Romeo Effect which is book 3 in the Cupids Series. If you are looking for a fun witty entertaining read look no further than Lila Monroe’s latest release it certainly has a lot going for it, the witty banter the characters share will make you laugh and will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I was hooked from the first chapter and I found it easy to connect and laugh along with this great group of friends, in fact I really wish I had a group of friends like this bunch. Seth spends his time setting up matches for Meet Cute’s clients but what happens when the match doesn’t really connect, on paper they should be a perfect match but maybe April is actually his perfect match and not the client he is trying to push in her on........ I loved April and Seth and I loved the banter they shared throughout this quirky, fun entertaining read and once you add in the secondary characters you get a must read for all romcom lovers.

A wonderful, light-heated read. If there’s one thing you can be guaranteed with reading a rom-com by Lila Monroe, it’s that you will spend a lot of the book laughing, shaking your head and plain out enjoying yourself and at the end of it, you’ll have a huge smile on your face. The Romeo Effect delivered on all fronts. April and Seth were a fabulous couple. We got to know April a little in the previous two books, but here, she gets to shine her own light. She’s a florist and has aspirations to get on ‘the list’ of bridal shops. She’s trying her hardest to fulfill this dream. Being a florist is her perfect job for her as she is a quintessential romantic. Seth, is the exact opposite, even though his job as a matchmaker means he’s actively looking for mates. Just not one for himself. But, is fate real? When his latest client’s pick becomes the woman of his dreams, what will he do? Seth is in a pickle. He wants to be successful, but, now that he’s found the one thing that everyone is crazy for, he doesn’t want to let it go. Will April feel the same way when the truth comes out?
