About this ebook

A young woman's life is disrupted when she reconnects with the high-school teacher she fell in love with.

Lance Turner wanted to help the bright young student whose grades were slipping, but he struggled to fight the sizzling attraction between them.

The feelings he had were forbidden. What they wanted could not be.

Unlike the other girls in her class, Megan didn't fall for the sexy, young teacher.

But her feelings soon changed when her world imploded and Mr. Turner was the only one who noticed.

He was the only one who seemed to care.

He was good to her. He listened. He was her safe haven. But his sudden departure left her devastated.

When they meet a decade later, all she wants is closure but all he wants is a second chance.

TOMORROW BELONGS TO US is an age gap, second chance, steamy, slow burn romance about taking chances and allowing new beginnings.

Megan and Lance have a very complicated relationship. I don't usually read teacher/student genre and almost didn't continue once I discovered that. I'm so glad I read on! I'll add some of the wonderful writing that convinced me to read on, in case you're on the fence like I was, at the end of this review. But first, if you enjoy books with lots of steam, plenty of real-life problems, and characters who have a hard time finding their HEA, this book is for you! It's a beautiful story of misunderstandings and heartache, of tragedy and grief, of hope and acceptance, of changes and growth. Whenever I start a Lily Zante book, I know at least one of her characters will make me cry! There is depth, growth, and emotion in her characters ~ I can't help but get emotionally invested in their stories. And, as always, I loved the ending!! "... as we got to know one another, I found someone who had time for me, someone who was willing to listen and be there and help me." Isn't that what most of us desire? Leave it to Ms. Zante to write these wonderful words in the first chapter, pulling me right in! Megan says in Chapter 35, "There's nothing much going on other than us holding hands. He won't kiss me and it's infuriating ... He's way too chivalrous for my liking." Another reassurance that this is not a story about a teacher taking advantage of a student. "We are similar, he and I. Lance is my other half. The yang to my yin. The day to my night. The glitter to my darkness. He is the calm in my chaos. A man who will stay. A man I want to stay." This shows how much she changed, to be able to say those things! "In Lance I've met my soulmate. My fingers flutter over the ... scar along his shoulder, before moving to the scar along his jaw. This man has lived, and loved, and protected. He is a keeper, and he is mine." As I read their story, as the history they thought they shared become more clear, as they struggled to try friendship while the deep wounds healed, I didn't think Lance and Megan would reach this point. Powerful writing!
