With a B.A. in Educational Psychology and a post-grad diploma in Early Childhood Education from McGill University, Linda Gutman worked as a pre-school and kindergarten teacher for over thirty years. In her retirement, she continues to be active on the executive board of Na’amat Canada Calgary’s “School Supplies for Kids”, a program providing children housed in domestic violence shelters with much needed backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies.
Together with Sam, her devoted husband of 45 years, she has raised a daughter Michelle, and a son Lawrence, both of whom are married with families of their own (making her “Nana” to six amazing grandchildren). Linda’s “empty nest” is now home to herself, Sam, and their cat, Truman.
