Katie’s life after leaving the small Montana town where she grew up didn’t turn out quite like she had planned, so she heads back home just long enough to regroup and start anew. She seeks shelter and comfort in the old dilapidated chapel she remembers from her youth, only to be caught by her brother’s friend, Caleb, who’s grown up to be a sexy cop and has no desire to ever leave the idyllic town. Katie jumps at the opportunity to purchase and renovate the old chapel, with some help from her brother and Caleb. As she runs into some serious and unexpected complications, she starts to lean on Caleb more and more, even as she wrestles with her desire to live anywhere other than this town. Theirs is a sweet romance, grounded in all the things that matter most while tossing out all the once-important goals that suddenly fade under examination. Caleb is a quiet hero, strong and patient, giving Katie all the room she needs to figure out what she really wants in her life. It’s a heartwarming story, beautifully written. Lisa Mondello writes a classically enjoyable romance novel complete with
down-trodden heroine and badge-wearing hero. What more could you, the
reader, wish for? Possibly, you’ll want a well written story with
believable characters and a fascinating backdrop – all written with detail
and precision, allowing the story to pull at your emotions – Well, this
book has it all. Anyone familiar with Ms Mondello’s work with expect all
of the above, and I’m happy to say that I think the book provides.

Fate has a way of putting the right people in your path at the wrong time. Caleb and Katie are brought together by a dilapidated chapel and a 10 year old mystery. She needs his help to rebuild her life and he needs hers to find his missing sister. What begins as a means to an end becomes a healing process for a broken heart and a shattered soul. Sweet Home Montana is an uplifting tale of second chances. Sometimes the wrong time can be the perfect moment to find forever.
