Jennie and her son Nate have been kidnapped. Patrick Sanders from the state police and his search and rescue dog have been called to do a search. Patrick finds them and realizes it is the Jennie he loved in high school. He also finds out Nate is his son. Jennie's father ran Patrick and his mother out of town and through his lies he kept them apart. Now Jennie and Nate are in danger as these men are still after them. I was hooked from the beginning. This novel was captivating and was difficult to put down.

A British ex-pat, Lisa loves high-stakes stories of mayhem and disaster where you can find made-for-each-other love that always ends in happily ever after. Lisa leads worship with her husband at their church. They have two kids and an all-black Airedale.
