I believe I’ve read everything Lisa Rayns has published and yet her stories continue to surprise me. Autumn’s Call opens with the heroine dying and a handsome stranger coming to her aid. I won’t give anything else away, since this is a short story, but I can honestly tell you that the twist at the end shocked me. I didn’t see it coming. Rayns does an amazing job of making you care about Autumn. I felt her pain and sorrow. I rejoiced in her triumph and love. I was sucked into the story and read it all in one sitting for I couldn’t put it down. If you want a fantastic paranormal romance that will leave you feeling satisfied even though it is a short story, you must read Autumn’s Call. You won’t be disappointed.
