真正的超級英雄——布麗．拉森
All eyes are on American actress Brie Larson this month as she takes on her biggest role yet: Captain Marvel. The first woman to play a major Marvel superhero, Larson is under a lot of pressure to succeed. However, the award-winning actor and real-life fighter for justice is sure to pull it off.
Larson discovered her love of acting as a child. At age six, she was the youngest student ever to study acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. After moving with her family to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, Larson got her first acting job in a comedy skit for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Years of playing small parts finally paid off when Larson landed a stable supporting role on the TV show United States of Tara. In 2013, she got her first leading role in Short Term 12 as a supervisor who works with troubled teens. She then won an Academy Award for her performance as an abused young mother in Room. Commenting on her film roles, Larson expressed her preference for movies that reflected real social problems. “I make movies as a form of activism,” Larson wrote.
這個月所有的目光都在美國女星布麗．拉森身上，因為她接演到目前為止最重要的角色：驚奇隊長。拉森是第一位飾演漫威主要超級英雄的女性，她承受很大得要成功的壓力。然而，這位得獎演員和真實生活中的正義鬥士一定會不負所望。

Larson’s interest in social activism isn’t limited to movie themes, for the actress has also worked hard to advance the rights of women and minorities. She has spoken up for sexual abuse victims and, along with other Hollywood women, fought against sexual harassment in the workplace. She helped start a program that brought greater attention to films made by and starring women, and in 2017 she joined Women’s March on Washington to fight for human rights.
As a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Larson actively helped raise money for elderly members of the film industry that needed assistance. At an awards ceremony in 2018, the actor used her time on stage to voice the need for more minority voices in film reviews, as most current film reporters are male and white.
Larson’s commitment to speaking up in the face of injustice and defending those who need help makes her a real-life superhero, and her passion comes through in her role as Captain Marvel. “I’ve learned a lot about myself and I feel super inspired by her,” Larson said about the superhero. “It’s only my hope that it’ll be that for others.”
拉森對社會行動主義的興趣並不限於電影主題，因為這位女星也努力促進女性和少數族群的權利。她為性侵受害者發聲，並且連同其他好萊塢女性對抗職場性騷擾。她協助成立一項計畫讓更多人關注由女性製作及主演的電影，並在二○一七年參加了華盛頓女性大遊行來爭取人權。
