Overall excellent material, with only minor areas which might support better learning by the reader. I initially took Spanish at the age of 43 and would have loved to have had this book as an aide to my face-to-face instruction. The tips and suggestions for practice are really exceptional. I am now 80 and wanting to go back and brush up and I think it is going to prove to be well worth the time invested in reading this book and applying the techniques. The detail in the enunciation are excellent, particularly for those who do not have someone with whom to work face-to-face. However, with today's Spanish "Soaps" on TV, Spanish TV channels for sports et al, there should be no issues as there were years ago. Several specific web sites are even suggested.

The book introduce you in casual routine through short stories which represent real situations, showing a dynamic and useful vocabulary for a daily conversation. For beginners students this is an excellent way to learn Spanish. I really enjoyed the story of Jose and Isabel, and also the reinforcement of the words ( Doing a fast translation to English ), I increased the range of my vocabulary.

Great for the price, definitely worth learning another language effortlessly at an affordable price. I will highly recommend it to anyone who is planning to learn Spanish.
