This is my favorite book of the series so far! I liked so many things about this book, and I'm just going to throw them all at you. I LOVE soul mates, fated mates, whatever you want to call it, and this book has 'em, and when Ian, a shifter, finds his mate, she becomes his entire world, and I loved reading that. The heat in this book is off-the-charts. One scene snuck right up on me, so be on the lookout for sexy surprises in these pages! This book was also really cool because Faith loves romance novels, including paranormal romances about shifters. Well, she was tossed into the shifter world, and seeing how she handled it was such an interesting idea Liza had, and a scenario I've never read before. Faith also had many real-life qualities, such as asking for help. From a MAN, no less. I have read too many books where the trying-too-hard-to-be-independent heroine would rather die than accept help from anyone, let alone a guy. But when real-life women need help, they do ask for it, regardless of the gender of the person who can help them. Faith also actually wanted Ian to like her. Again, too many books have one character or the other heading for the hills when talk of a relationship comes up before they are ready for it, even though they have feelings for the other person. But 80 years ago when I first met my now-husband, I liked him and I really hoped he wanted a relationship with me, too. Again, real-life people things making the characters more likable, in my opinion. While the ending had a conclusion for Faith and Ian, it was a quick stop at the edge of a steep cliff for the underlying mystery of the series. I am DYING to know what happens next. (I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)

This novella in the ‘Rock Creek Clan’ series is short but sweet and feisty. This hero and heroine are strong, bold and easily captivate readers from the very start. Faith is a heroine that readers can appreciate as she has a super amount of passion for books and while she doesn’t think that Ian can possible be hers, she can’t deny the sizzling chemistry. Ian is a sexy, growly grizzly with a protective streak that makes readers shiver in delight. The plot is fast paced with danger and excitement building throughout as the clans rival pack are after something that Faith has and they won’t stop at nothing to get it. Along with the dangerous excitement there is also some excitement in the form of celebration in a clan HEA moment and readers can’t help but enjoy this entertaining and heartwarming read.
