The California Psychological Inventory was administered to a six months' input of WAF basic trainees. Mean scores for the total WAF group exceeded norms for high-school women on all scales except social presence, socialization, flexibility, and femininity. Mean scores of successful WAF exceeded those for the failure groups on all but three scales. It was concluded that the incoming test performance by the WAF population compared favorably with results from a similar female population.
