About the author

Loretta Krupinski of Thomaston, Maine is an award-winning, nationally recognized maritime artist. She started as an illustrator and author of over 25 children's books, and later she authored "A Maine Artist's Garden Journal." She is the six-time award-winner at the International Marine Artists Exhibition and is a Fellow and Board member of the American Society of Marine Artists. Some of her national exhibits have included the Frye Art Museum in Seattle, Mariner's Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, and the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. Krupinksi is an avid sailor and gardener.
