Once again this talented author delivers a story that will touch your hearts. This story belongs to wedding planner Yardley Belanger. Her childhood has not been easy. Her mother Aurora and her aunt Lilith have never been kind to her, while Yardley is the one that runs the business, cooks all the meals and basically does everything for them. Thankfully, her best friend Mimi has been there for her since childhood. She and the rest of the town of Cemetery are grateful for all she does for them, even when Yardley doesn’t see it. When she meets Travis, the brother of bride to be Sheena, the attraction is immediate. But old hangups will be hard to overcome. Something that doesn’t deter Travis. As we get to spend time with the town, Betty the matriarch of the town, and everyone in Cemetery, we are reminded of a few things. That our experiences as a child and how the adults in it treated us, will affect the adult we become. That true friends will be there in the good times and bad ones. That when one find the one that “gets you” and loves you unconditionally, it’s time to let go of the past in order to enjoy the wonders of love. Lastly, that family is not always the one you are born into. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved Yardley so much! What a terrific love story! Yardley might seem a bit too quirky at first, but really she's just very direct, no BS, not afraid to speak her mind and reach for her dreams. She's a wedding planner in a very small town, and when Travis comes to her to plan his sister's wedding, there was absolutely no turning back. Travis isn't really looking for anything more than helping his younger sister with her wedding, but he soon realizes just how special Yardley is and how much they have in common. His is a bit of a tragic story, but the real drama lies with Yardley's mother and aunt, with whom she lives, and the secrets they've been keeping from her. This is a sparkling romance, full of humor and heart, and some of the best written characters I've read in a very long time. The HEA is superb, the small town is beyond charming, and the feels are very real. As contemporary romances go, they don't get any better than this. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster is first book in the Cemetery, Indiana series. Yardley Belanger is a wedding planner is Cemetery, Indiana. I liked Yardley who has yet to come into her own. She just needs a little help. I was not a fan of the foul language, the sexual innuendoes, and the intimate situations. It is a lighthearted romance with charming scenes. The book had a sweet ending that will leave readers smiling.
