This story takes us to Sunset, KY and the lives of two women, very different from each other, who are sisters of the heart. Ivey Anders is a well respected and loved veterinarian who after two years, ends a relationship that was going nowhere . Thinking that her next relationship will be one of no attachments, she never expected Corbin Meyer to change her life.. Meanwhile Hope Mage , is a 21 year old that years ago had a traumatic experience . An experience that has her skittish of men and doesn’t like anyone touch her. Neither expected that upon meeting new resident Corbin Meyer, his young son Justin, and Corbin’s brother Lang, their lives would change forever. As the summer progresses , the reader gets to watch these individuals develop. This is a story about family, whether by blood or friendship as well as a story about relationships. It’s also a story about finding inner strength, forgiveness, learning to trust oneself and others, and taking a chance on life, happiness and love. It’s also a reminder that life and love can be messing but worth the effort . This was another engaging and touching story by this talented author. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. I really enjoyed this really sweet enjoyable summer story. This story is about 2 brothers and 2 women who are more like sisters than friends, and a 10 year old boy who stole my heart. This is the perfect summer read. It's a double dose of love and HEA.

Omg, I loved this and it was rather like a twofer. A perfect summertime read, or anytime! Ivey, a small-town veterinarian with a heart as big as the sun, open and outgoing, along with her bff aka assistant Holly, who is understandably introverted around men, don't have any plans for this summer. Holly is moving, however, to a sweet little cottage, and there's where it begins. Fate is funny that way when she's running the show. All kinds of surprises pop up when you least expect them, and this journey covers them all so sweetly. I really don't want to give anything away but I will say when both Littles and Furbabies are in a book, it's always just that much better. Have a few tissues, there's both sad and happy tears in here, a lot of laughs, and life's lessons as well. Big on family too. Did I mention there's a bit of heat as well, when they get alone time, or don't get interrupted, that is. Excellent read and highly recommended by me!
