About this eBook

The first in a fantastic New Adult series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack

Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible—a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She’d left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Losing It was a very light and pretty funny story that I wasn't expecting. There were a couple of parts were I seriously laughed out loud. I liked the chemistry Garrick and Bliss had even though she was a little awkward at times. I would have preferred more from the ending but it honestly didn't take anything away from the story for me.

When I say funny, I mean FUNNY as all get out! I laughed out loud - REALLY LOUD - until 4 a.m. because I couldn't wait to see what crazy situation the heroine would either, create, or find herself in. I had a relative who showed up to a job interview wearing shoes that were not a pair and she wasn't even in a panic! So, I kinda get that someone might actually get so freaked out in an intensely personal situation that carries so many social and religious "rules" that they might be pushed to create an elaborate diversion to escape the pressure. And, in the midst of the pressure - errr, maybe forget the shirt and the shoes during their "escape". A hot guy can make us all forget our name sometimes, am I right? The only time I have laughed this hard while reading a book was while reading David Sedaris. That is one of the highest compliments I can personally give a writer. If Ms. Carmack were 65, I would still marvel at the skill level; but to be so young and so gifted - very rare. Read this book for the humor alone, but admire it also for it's flowing and clever dialogue and it's delightfully imperfect characters. I hope she continues to write in other genres as well.

I've had this book on my wishlist for a while now and yesterday I finally decided to purchase it even though I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't dissapointed at all! This book is phenomenal! There's humor, sadness, joy, love, and countless more emotions. Bliss and Garrick are a match people dream about--not necessarily the situation--but just being able to love. There is some drama inside but it's mild.
