Louis Hoffman, PhD, is a licensed psychologist practicing in Colorado Springs and offering TelePsychology (online therapy) in various states. He serves as the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Humansitic Counseling and Psychological Association (www.rmhcpa.org) and the Associate Director of the International Institute for Existential–Humanistic Psychology (www.iiehp.org). Dr. Hoffman has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and six of its divisions (1, 10, 32, 36, 48, & 52) for his contributions to professional psychology. An avid writer, Dr. Hoffman has edited/authored 18 books and over 100 journal articles and book chapters. His books include Our Last Walk: Using Poetry for Grieving and Remembering Our Pets; Stay Awhile: Poetic Narratives on Multiculturalism and Diversity; Humanistic Approaches to Multiculturalism and Diversity; and Existential Psychology East–West (Volumes 1 & 2). He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology (Senior International Editor), The Humanistic Psychologist, the Journal of Constructivist Psychology, and Janus Head. Although Dr. Hoffman left full-time academia to pursue private practice and his passion for writing, he continues to teach at the University of Denver, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and Saybrook University. Lisa Xochitl Vallejos, PhD, is a licensed professional counselor in Colorado. She is the current Board Chair of the Rocky Mountain Humanistic Counseling and Psychological Association as well as the President and co-founder of The Humanitarian Alliance. She serves on a number of boards and has been involved in many community task forces and initiatives. She currently teaches Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppression, and Social Justice trainings for mental health professionals.
