But Alex’s carefree ways are tested when her new landlord threatens the future of her beloved bookstore.

Even worse? This new landlord is the same man she kissed that starlit night, the same man she’s been dreaming about for months.

Real estate investor Aaron Morrison moved to Hazel Island with his niece and nephew for a fresh start after tragedy struck.

Dating? Aaron can’t even think about dating. Besides, he has to figure out how to deal with a fiery, gorgeous brunette who seems to think he’s the devil incarnate.

Alex bought the local bookstore on Hazel Island and has been struggling to make the business profitable to prove to her sister that she isn't a complete screw up. Aaron has recently purchased the building but he doesn't know who is tenant is or how much trouble she is about to bring into his life. This story is funny, sad, uplifting and steamy. Alex and Aaron's story keeps you turning the pages to see if they will become a couple. It is also fun to catch up the other characters that we love from Hazel Island. This starts out as your typical enemies to lovers story, but Alexandra is her own worst enemy, and our hero is a real estate mogul struggling as a new parent to his niece and nephew. This story is witty and the two struggle to find what they want. They find what they want is each other, but their own self destructive behaviors threaten to destroy even that. This story emphasizes the need of communication and inventorying our priorities and behaviors to overcome repeated behaviors which destroy our relationships with other people. This is book 3 in a series and it easily stands alone. It stars Alex who is a book store owner in her small town. Its not going well for her business and she just got a new landlord who is raising her rent. Turns out her new landlord is Aaron and this is very much a hate to love romance. Alex is a bit of a hothead and also is very stubborn and she gives it her all to hate Aaron and also to try and resist their very strong attraction. She does some things I do not agree with as I read the story but she really is fighting against falling for Aaron and she really tries so hard to hate him and resist him. Aaron is an uncle who has suffered a huge loss as his brother and sister in law have died and he is now responsible for his niece and nephew. I LOVED the teens and I could see why he really needed a family to give these two very lost kids. I just did not like how he treated Alex in this quest to find them a family. I felt that Alex and Aaron really deserved each other and they did things that I did not agree with but it also proved how right these two are for each other. This was a story that made me cry, laugh and pull my hair out at different times. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
