This book chronicles the Apostle Paul's missionary journeys through the Roman Empire teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to both Jewish Christians and Gentiles. The epistles, letters, written to the early churches served several purposes. They contained heartfelt greetings, praise, thanksgiving, words of encouragement, and when necessary, chastisements. But more importantly, the Love Letters conveyed the unconditional love of Jesus Christ for the believer.
The epistles to the early churches also helped to form doctrine, church order, conduct and traditions plus accepted leadership qualities along with responsibilities. The tone of the letters was infused with Paul's genuine benevolent concern for and loyalty to the early Christians establishing churches in a hostile environment. Helen M. Moss is a freelance writer and visual artist living in Dayton, Ohio. She was a student at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio and the former director of Christian Education at Wayman African Methodist Episcopal Church where she was also on the ministerial staff under the late Rev. Dr. Wilbur M. Lowe. The author of What Does Jesus Ask Us to Do? The Parables of Jesus as a Guide to Daily Living and a contributing essayist to the anthology Have a Little Faith; Trouble Don’t Last Always, Helen writes about humanity’s relationships with God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in an approachable and accessible way. Her goal is to assist the reader in strengthening their faith and applying the principles of Bible Scriptures to everyday life. Helen uses her creativity, writing and visual art, to cope with her daily challenges battling multiple sclerosis. Diagnosed with MS 30 years ago she relies on her abiding faith in the restorative powers of Jesus Christ in her life to soldier on each and every day. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, specifically II Corinthians 12:9 has become a daily mantra for Helen, And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Helen M. Moss is married to noted jazz musician and writer, Khalid Moss. They are members of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church located in Trotwood, Ohio.
