About this ebook

A best-friends-to lovers standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

She says she needs some help ... in the bedroom.

Come again? No, really come again.

Sweet, nerdy, lovable Keaton.

She's my best friend and has been for years. Sure she likes numbers and math, and thinks doing other people's taxes is fun. And I like ... none of that stuff. She's obsessed with her cat and reads novels I'll never understand, and yet we just click. There's no one I'd rather share breakfast burritos with or binge watch hours of Netflix. She's my person. And so when she takes off her glasses and asks me to help her improve her skills in the bedroom, I barely have to think about it.

Of course I'll help her. There's no one better for the job.

I've been there for her through everything, why should this be any different?

But what happens when she's ready to take her new-found confidence and move on?

***5 ‘Patron Saint’ Stars*** This one was a such a fun read and one that I was totally invested in that I *cough* “multitasked” *cough* and finished it in a couple of hours. It had just the right amount of feels which include the sniffly/teary kind as well as the “Ouch!” kind and really just hit all the right buttons for me from start to finish. It was so easy to fall in love with Keaton and Slate. Keaton is focused, extremely so, and likes to have all of her ducks in a row on a daily basis, but she isn’t rigid. She may be a little awkward at times, but once she gets comfy, she’s snarky and sweet and is just chill. Slate is in full on bachelor forever mode, and doesn’t apologize for it, but while he has manwhore tendencies, he isn’t an asshat about it. He’s sweet, chill and truly cares about those he calls his own and will do anything for them. Keaton and Slate’s journey was all kinds of sweet, smexy, awkward and just fun. Their friendship jumped off the page. They knew each other inside and out and truly liked who the other person was and enjoyed everything they brought to their friendship, which made it real easy to see how they could be more. And that more was all kinds of smexy, I mean nuclear level smexy and I’ll admit a lot of it came from how caring and sweet Slate was with Keaton and helping her out. But of course there had to be a roadblock pop up and this one was of the “Ouch...oh that hurt” variety, I flinched, I did. But I loved how they got back on track and where they ended up. As I’ve already said, this was a fun one. It had everything you could want in a romance. It was funny, sweet, smexy and had just enough drama to keep things interesting. I loved Penny and Meera, and Gabby cracked me up. And that little sneak peek of Flirting With Forever definitely has me wanting it on my Kindle sooner rather than later! ~ Copy provided by the author via InkSlinger PR & voluntarily reviewed ~

Keaton is utterly adorable, although she has introvert tendencies with a dose of underlying insecurities, she is also a powerhouse of independence and has never met a task she wasn’t able to learn. It is this trait that leads her to a somewhat unusual situation following a cucumber induced trauma at a bachelorette party 😜 Determined to up her game in the bedroom, Keaton enlists the help of her best friend and resident player, Slate. Having been bf’s for the past ten years and knowing each other deeply adds to the sense of security for Keaton to tick off each item of boudoir basics, lol. What could possibly go wrong, especially as both Keaton and Slate are aware of each other’s limitation where relationships are concerned. Determined to maintain their friendship and avoid catching feelings along the way; Keaton and Slate up their status to friendship with benefits 😃 I completely loved the switch up of roles within Love Machine, with a reversal of who you would expect to remain level-headed and who falls hard and fast embracing the changes as they occur. Slate ups the romantic gestures and creates a whole lot of swoon in the process; his reluctance to become involved in relationships is understandable when his history is revealed. However, it is his ability to self-reflect and grow as a person that really draws you to him 💝 It is obvious to all those around them that Keaton and Slate belong together, what others have recognized takes Keaton and Slate a while to catch-up. The journey they take to reach that point is full of sugar and spice with a little dash of bitter to keep things interesting 😉

GAWD! I loved this one. Kendall Ryan sure knows how to write the perfect rom/com and Love Machine served up lashing of her delicious, sexy delights. Keaton was such a great character with her need to have all her i’s dotted and T’s crossed. Her love of spreadsheets made me snigger and shake my head… but in a good way. I could actually see myself doing something like that once upon a time. I freaking loved Slate, he was a confident, sexy as sin and overall HAWT stud muffin. This witty, banter filled story had me in some serious stitches as she went through the motions of asking Slate, her best friend of ten years, to show her the ropes. Sexually. Slate barely batted an eyelid at her request before jumping on board. But then when she had to graduate to picking up other men, the little green man showed his hand. I loved how he dealt with this moment, although Keaton might not if she’d known the real reason behind her lack of dates. Once the clothes came off with these two, that’s when things really notched up to another level, their chemistry was breathtaking before they even made it to a bed so I was seriously worried for about my kindle overheating. I loved watching their relationship transition, not just in the bedroom but in every aspect of their lives. But, then just when they were getting comfortable those pesky ‘love’ feelings came into play and they had to deal with the repercussions. This was a fast, fun read that will leaving you begging for more. I know I am.
