About this ebook

In the first part of my book, "Love Poem" ("????? ? ?????"), the story takes place in the eleventh century in the Caucasus mountains. The poem starts with a description of the beauty of nature and the local people. Among them is an aging wealthy prince by the name of Avadal, land owner and former warrior. He has a beautiful daughter, Zara, who is seventeen and dreaming of love. She rejects a marriage proposal from a young local prince as she detests his hard-heartedness. One day, a handsome Russian prisoner is led by guards into the town, and his appearance is striking to her - he is tall with blond hair and blue eyes, and he is very noticeable among the dark people of her tribe. He was captured in a battle by local warriors, who are selling him in slavery to her father and hoping to get a big reward, as the prisoner is young and physically strong. Zara is immediately attracted to him and seeks a conversation with him. As a slave, he is labouring in her father's vineyard, gardens, and fields. The second part of my book is "Zara's Poetic Notes" ("??????????? ?????? ????") The idea behind it is that Zara was a poetess, and her poetry has survived the centuries as well as her and Andrei's love story. Her poems reflect her deep feelings, as of one who loves and who is being loved. Some of her poems are depicting Andrei's feelings for her as he's expressed them to her through words and songs.
