Ratings and reviews

Seriously one of the most pointless stories I have ever read. There is absolutely no story line other than some stupid overly insecure female and an over the top hero. There is nothing remotely real about the characters just boring female fantasy and nothing to connect to. After 200 pages i skimmed the rest to see if it actually got better. The answer NO.

I have to say that Lovers at Heart really surprised me. Neither Max nor Treat were your typical romance novel characters. Treat was all ready to throw caution to the wind and ditch his pride, unlike pretty much every other romantic hero in history, and Max was wonderfully neurotic. It made for a whole new dynamic, and I had to sit down and read it cover to cover. Sleep was forgotten. Food was delivered. Romance novel was devoured. And now I'm off to read about Rex –because, yum!

Max and Treat are dilly-dally mature adults who love each other, yet take a big round to get over their fear and finally get together 💑 and suddenly going to get married so soon. Sigh! I doubt Max is smart because she always forget her cellphone. I need to be patient to read the full story as I dislike Max wishy-washy attitude initially. I change my opinion after she decided to look for Treat and her reason of her behavior. 🙄 The storyline is more focus on Treat's family than the couple. Sigh! 🙁
