About this ebook

Unregistered warlock? Check. Date with the Witches Council? Check. Inevitable explosions? Check.

Hey, it’s not like Burgundy Jane Hart asked for this, no matter how dull life as Rock Grove’s librarian is. But ever since her father showed up and told her the truth – that she’s actually a warlock – she’s had plenty of time to think about her life choices.

Between movie nights and town meetings, not to mention an unexpected promotion, Burgundy thinks she might get the hang of this warlock thing, after all. Oh, and get the girl. (Which one? Turns out, that’s trickier than she expected.)

Except the Witches Council has other ideas and things take a dark turn even Burgundy couldn’t have foreseen. It’s live free or die when Rock Grove is placed under martial law, and only one person has the sass (or stupidity) to stand against the Finders.

Decision’s made. It’s time to quit the bitching and start the… warlocking.

About the author

Lucy True writes quirky urban fantasy, and dystopian and paranormal romance. She previously wrote lesbian romance as Jea Hawkins.

She is a gamer, lover of history, as well as strange and whimsical things. There should probably be an “I Brake for Cemeteries” bumper sticker on her car. A passionate genealogist, long-time cross-stitcher, and kitchen witch, she lives in a one-horse town in rural eastern Nebraska with her sometimes-better half, two witchlings, and two cats.

Jea Hawkins writes sweet and spicy contemporary lesbian romance. As Lucy True she writes paranormal romance and urban fantasy with lesbian main characters. Her historical / contemporary romance, As Long As Love Lasts, was nominated for a 2019 GCLS Literary Award.

Regardless of genre, if love conquers all, then she’d like to think her heroines can rule the world one day. An east coast transplant to the Midwest, she loves to write about complicated women and settings that feel like home.

Personal addictions include genealogy, autumn, cozy sweaters, hot chocolate, and the Sims 3. She’s both an avid reader and gamer, and hopes readers don’t mind a few geeky references here and there in her work.
