Author of twenty books, has wrote more than one hundred international papers and eighteen didactic notebooks. Member of Design Research Society, Fundació Historia del Diseny, Design History Society, International Scientific Committee at Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, Franklin Furnace Archive, and MERLOT. Associate editor of several magazines, refereeing 136 international papers. Pioneer in Mexico in the use of digital resources for arts and design. Lecturer, tutor, and researcher, has given ninety-one courses and 155 conferences in thirty-eight countries. Director of more than two hundred postgraduate theses. Professional graphic designer for almost one hundred important firms with awards in Mexico and Switzerland. First woman as director of the Arts and Design Faculty of UNAM in 250 years (2002–2006).
