The second book in the Rake Chronicles, Lord Hugh Aldershot, the Viscount of Tremberley is best friends with Lady Henrietta Breminster's older brother. She has had feels for Hugh for a long time. Their story is engaging with very good characters. I enjoyed seeing them get a happy ending with the twists and turns they went through. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Henrietta wants to marry Trem but he doesn’t make any advances until her friend Justin starts making public claims about taking her innocence. Henrietta was very foolish when it came to Justin, thinking she could experience passion without consequences. Trem and Henrietta spend much of their alone time together intimate, which made me wonder if there was anything more to their relationship except lust. Her crazy ex, several impulsive moments, and misunderstanding add to the drama.

Passionate love erupts between a viscount and his best friend’s sister. Their romantic journey is fraught due to a jilted love of hers and her brother’s fiery anger. Very, very spicy. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
