Critical Threat finds both Grace & Sam dealing with their pasts & the regrets they carry. This is the 3rd book in the Extreme Measures series, and it in no way lets up on the intense suspense that kept the 1st two books as a can't-put-it-down-read. The killings are a tad gruesome but occur off-page, so there aren't graphic details to wade through. There are some unique twists that keep the reader guessing as to just who is guilty. The overall story is completed within this book.

The story of Grace Billingsley and Sam Monroe is one that is a fascinating characters study as well as a fast-paced suspense thriller. The clever way the author builds the story, with layers and unexpected twists, is absolutely brilliant and addictive. I enjoyed getting to know the characters who were the FBI agents and was intrigued by the personality of the villains. Sam’s father, an inmate in prison and a serial killer, was a complicated character who added to the terror. Opinions are mine.

With Critical Threat, Lynette Eason once again proves that her books are "must reads" for fans of romantic suspense. On page one I was pulled into the story and the mind of the killer and then quickly introduced to the female lead, Grace. The twist and turns in the plot kept me hooked. The action and suspense are off-the-chart! I received a complimentary copy through NetGalley from the publisher.
