About this ebook

An unlikely desire simmers between a wealthy planter’s wife and her dashing Irish slave

Sold into slavery following Cromwell’s conquest of his divided homeland, Irish patriot Donovan Shay has never known anything but life’s cruel hardships. Yet even as he sweats and toils on the exotic shores of a faraway island, he swears that someday he’ll be a free man. Then a rich Virginia planter and his alluring, aqua-eyed young bride, Jillian Cameron, claim him as their chattel. Consumed by a fiery hunger he can neither explain nor deny, Donovan vows that Jillian will be his.

Alone in the world after her father’s death, Jillian had wed to gain protection. But hers is a marriage in name only, and one glimpse of her new servant—all bronzed-bodied and golden-haired—is enough to undo her. When fate and her husband’s wishes throw her into Donovan’s strong arms, Jillian fights her desire for him. Can she surrender to the man whose soaring passion has enslaved her heart?
