Sweet, but still oh so steamy. LRH may usually write books with more action, but that doesn't mean that this was a disappointment. Far from it. Ross holds it's own in the world of contemporary romance. Ross and Holly were a good couple. First impressions aren't all that they seem, especially when the media is involved, so Holly learns for herself that Ross isn't the type of guy that the media paints him to be. He may be rich, but he's a good guy with a good heart. She also stands up for herself, but isn't too prideful to not let Ross step in when there's a need. They strike a good balance together, and discover parts of themselves they didn't realize were there- especially Ross. I believe that's what makes a good couple; and for some, it doesn't matter how much time you know someone- sometimes you just know and that feeling can hit from way out of left field.

When he has a fiery crash his father decides its time for him to give up racing and run the Blackthorne Whiskey Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. Not fast enough for him but he thinks a few days there and he will be back racing...not. What he doesn’t expect is Holly Brooks, the woman running the day to day operations. He’s a playboy with a fast paced life while she has patience, tells you like it is...will these two be able to work together, dig deeper to the real person underneath all the hype, share a love for the whiskey or will it all just crash and burn? Phillip by Cristin Harber is up next but we still don’t have any answers to the underlying story...

After an impressive and fiery crash, his father thinks Ross has had his fun and needs to hang up his helmet and take his place in the family business. Ross will humor him but has every intention of getting back behind the wheel of his race car. But Holly Brooks might be the one to throw the checkered flag on all of his plans. She's everything he never expected, and that might not be such a bad thing. Holly has been tasked with showing pretty-boy Ross Blackthorne the ropes of his family's bourbon business. He's not taking it seriously and that infuriates her! He's all good looks, smarmy grins, and rides the coattails of his own charm. But, he's showing her another side of himself - one that throws the caution flag on all of her preconceptions. Sure, he's kind of her boss being a Blackthorne, but he's working his way in to her heart. That can't be good. Right? This was such a cute story. I loved Ross and Holly. So different, but so perfect for one another!! A great addition to the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series!
