A quick, easy and entertaining read! Granted this story line has been dones numerous time, can we say big motion picture block buster, it is still thought out well. Lance is recoverying from an injury when he meets the beautiful but spoiled Ariana. After a receent attack Ariana is in need of protecting both from herself and those out to harm her. While Lance is hesitant at first to help out what he assumes is another rich spoiled girls the longer these two are around each other the more they want to get to know each other on a physical and emotional level. While some parts of the story line were a little predictable at times, I found the author's ability to weave the story into a wonderful, fast and entertaining read. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good romantic suspense novel. I received an eARC of the book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. Ariana Rose is trying to rebuild her life after her father’s criminal activities destroyed it but it’s not easy when everyone wants to take their anger out on her which leaves her only one place to turn when her home is violently attacked and the reader can’t help but be burned by the sizzling chemistry and flying sparks as Lance and Ari play a carnal game that could destroy one or both of them. The sex scenes are scorching but this relationship has a few major obstacles like careers, family, emotional issues and secrets which keeps things in a pretty constant uproar and these strong charismatic characters demand your attention while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps you on the edge of your seat with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Expectation builds lots of spine tingling tension and excitement throughout the story as Ari and Lance struggle through their relationship while trying to avoid all the upset people that have made Ari their personal scapegoat and of course the FBI who is determined to find her father. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination while the intriguing events and emotional turmoil draw the reader in and refuse to let go. I was completely caught up in Ari and Lance’s story right from the beginning and there was enough unexpected surprises to keep me on toes while the passion and romance gave my heart a thrill and I have to say that the sexy Lance made my heart pound right out of my chest. I haven’t read the first book in the Alpha Heroes series (yet), but if this one is anything to go buy I will certainly be looking out for more books by Lynne Silver, especially the Alpha Heroes.
