About this ebook
Las islas Marías, también llamadas islas Tres Marías, son un conjunto de islas localizadas en el océano Pacífico a 112 km de las costas del estado mexicano de Nayarit, al que administrativamente pertenecen de facto y jurisdiccionalmente son federales (de jure) ya que poseen su propio Estatuto. Se destina el Archipiélago Islas Marías para el establecimiento de un Complejo Penitenciario como parte del Sistema Penitenciario Federal, a fin de que puedan en él cumplir la pena de prisión los sentenciados federales o del orden común que determine la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública.
